The move comes as the labour unions engage in a face-off with the Imo State Government over issues of unpaid salaries, pensions, and labor rights violations. In a statement issued by Kamarudeen Ogundele, the Special Assistant Communication & Publicity to the AGF & Minister of Justice Lateef Fagbemi, the unions were reminded of the court order that prohibits them from embarking on the strike. The Accountant-General of the Federation, Oluwatoyin Madein, faced intense questioning from the Senate during a session on the 2024-2026 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF).
