Oluomo, who represents Ifo I constituency, was impeached on Tuesday by 18 members of the assembly during a plenary session presided over by Deputy Speaker Mrs. Bolanle Ajayi. Olakunle Oluomo, who was  dragged to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged financial misappropriation was impeached by 18 lawmakers out of 26 member-assembly. In the rescue operation, one Muhammad Abel 'm' aged 32 from Kogi state was equally apprehended and one (1) rifle with ten (10) rounds of life ammunition recovered from him. The victim who sustained some injuries from the kidnappers, is currently receiving medical attention, and would be reunited with his family once certified fit by the medical team.
