Notable Men of substance and passed IGBO heroes  was honoured during this year's Igbo day celebration.
the event which was held yesterday, 30th Septembe, 2023. Igbo Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride, as Ndigbo came together to pay homage to some of their most revered icons. Posthumous awards were bestowed upon legendary figures such as Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, General Johnson Aguiyi Ironsi, Chinua Achebe, Chief C.C. Onoh, Sam Mbakwe, and many others who have made significant contributions to the Igbo people and Nigeria as a whole.

The Igbo Day celebration was a momentous occasion that brought the community together to honor these outstanding individuals and reflect on their legacies. It served as a reminder of the rich history and cultural heritage of the Igbo people, as well as their resilience in the face of challenges.

In addition to recognizing the contributions of these icons, the event also acknowledged the support and solidarity of Igbo special allies. These individuals have shown unwavering support and commitment to the Igbo cause, standing as advocates for justice, equity, and the overall development of the Igbo nation.

As the celebration came to a close, the spirit of unity and determination echoed throughout the gathering. With gratitude to God for a successful Igbo Day, the message was clear: "Onye aghana nwanne ya!!!" - Unity is paramount in achieving our collective goals.

Kogi State Governor Ododo Approves Appointment of 1,192 Special Assistants

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has made a groundbreaking decision by approving the appointment of 1,192 additional aides. This announcement came via a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Folashade Ayoade. Driving while drunk  is quite bad and can lead one into crime commission. weekends are known to be a period when people use for outing and so many group meetings equally takes place.  There will be Plainty of free drinks, from friends and relations indeed . but don't allow yourself to drink to stupor and get out of contrtol. Free drinks intoxicates, therefore check your level of consumption to avoid paying as a result of your carelessness or recklessness while driving home drunk. Driving while drunk is against  section 27(1)of BAC laws CAP 148 (Traffic Code Law)   it is worldwide agreement that alcohol involved-drinking is to be curtailed to a lowest minimum. The road safety act punishes offenders by #5000 fine. See sec. 10(4)and 28(2) offences and their punishment.
