Ukehe General Assembly Abuja Pays Courtesy Visit to Promoted Brigadier General Nnabueze Okoloagu.

The leadership of the Incorporated Trustee of Ukehe General Assembly Abuja (UGAA) recently paid a courtesy visit to their illustrious son, Brigadier General Nnabueze Okoloagu, who was promoted late last year in the Nigerian army. The visit took place at Wu Bassey Barracks, Command Senior Officers Mess in FCT Abuja, where Gen Okoloagu is currently stationed. Promoting Military Careers in the Community During the visit, Gen Nnabueze Okoloagu, also known as AGUNAECHEMBA 1 OF ALEKE EZIKE, expressed his disappointment at the lack of interest from members of the community in joining the Nigerian army. He pledged his support to any qualified individual from Ukehe community who wishes to pursue a career in the military, emphasizing that he would not hesitate to recommend them for any opportunities that arise. NARTO Announces Withdrawal of Petroleum Truck Operations.

High Operational Costs Prompt Decision, Calls for Support and Cooperation from Industry Stakeholders The Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) has recently announced the withdrawal of operations by Petroleum Truck Owners due to high operational costs in the industry. In a letter addressed to the General Secretary of NUPENG, NARTO expressed their frustrations with the lack of appropriate freight rates for their operations despite numerous efforts to negotiate with relevant authorities. The National Executive Council of NARTO has directed all members to stop making their Petroleum Trucks available for loading activities starting from February 19, 2024. This decision comes as a result of the challenging economic situation in the country, making it unsustainable for Petroleum Truck Owners to continue their business operations.
