The Otuokaiwu President, Chidi Udekwe has issued a press Statement to mark this year's worker's day celebration and coincidentally, the beginning of the month of may.
In his statement titled:
NEW MONTH AND WORKERS DAY CELEBRATION MESSAGE;
The president stated as follows;
Hard work spotlights the character of people and the Igbo spirit of hard work and perseverance topped by achievements is what makes me so proud to be leading an Association where we are willing to support each other in the spirit of "Onye Aghana Nwanneye"
The "igba 'boyi" concept, which will soon be fully activated, is what makes the Igbo Nation great and remarkable in celebrating the workers' day.
As we celebrate Workers Day today, I want to express my appreciation for each and every one of you who have engaged our young lawyers and given them a condusive environment to work.
Please, keep up the great work as we’re headed for a fantastic rise which, propels me to encourage others to take in our younger ones who are out there looking for where to commence their journey and find footings inside the legal profession even as we encourage partnerships when due.
Indeed, the only way to achieve change and build a better world is through hard work and sometimes it seems that we work harder each year, just to stay in the same spot but we should know that there are greater hopes.
Our lives are not our work, but sometimes our work plays an incredibly significant role in our lives. Let's hold on and hold out strong because the paradigm shift is inevitable.
I thank our seniors and juniors alike for everything you do for a better legal professional and the next generation of Igbo Lawyers.
Wishing you a fulfilled new month.
Chidi Udekwe
President
Otu Okaiwu, Abuja
