not engaging in evangelism leads to a miss of  opportunity for personal growth.

believers who consider evangelism to be a duty or commandment, not participating in it will lead to feelings of guilt or a sense of not fulfilling one's religious obligations.

3. Lack of  Potential impact on others:
Not engaging in evangelism may be seen as a missed opportunity to positively impact someone's life.

4. Personal conviction and rewards: In some religious traditions, there may be a belief that actively participating in evangelism and bringing others to belief in their faith will result in rewards or blessings in the afterlife. Not participating in evangelism may be seen as missing out on these potential rewards.

Ultimately, beliefs about the consequences of not engaging in evangelism are shaped by one's personal faith, religious teachings, and interpretation of the scripture.

In Amos 9:9, the verse states, "For surely I will command, and will sift the house of Israel among all nations, as grain is sifted in a sieve; yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground." This verse is part of a prophecy given by the prophet Amos, addressing the punishment and judgment that would come upon the people of Israel for their disobedience and idolatry.
