The suit filed by the Ondo State Government and Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu regarding the compilation of the record of appeal has been dismissed by the High Court in Akure, Ondo State. The suit was filed against four registrars of the High Court, the Deputy Governor, the House of Assembly, the Speaker of the House, and the Chief Judge of Ondo State. It claimed that the procedure for settling and compiling the record of appeal for the Deputy Governor's appeal would infringe on their rights. The matter was heard on Monday, 6th November 2023, before Justice D. I. Kolawole. During the hearing, the claimants' counsel orally applied to withdraw the suit, stating that it had become irrelevant due to subsequent events.
