Enugu State Speaker of the House Assembly, Rt Hon Uche Ugwu, has taken a significant step towards fostering community development by sponsoring the Ojebe Ogene League 2023/2024 for his constituency, Udi North. The participating communities in this highly anticipated tournament include Okpatu, EBe, Umulumgbe, Abor, Auhum, Ukana, Ukehe, and Umuoka. The opening match of the Ojebe Ogene League 2023 will feature an exhilarating clash between EBe and Abor on the 23rd of December. The match will kick off at 3 PM and will take place at the Okpatu venue. On the 24th of December, Ukana will face off against Okpatu in what is expected to be a thrilling match. The game will commence at 3 PM and will be held at the Awhum venue. Simultaneously, Umulumgbe will go head-to-head with Awhum on the same day at the Ukana field. The Ojebe Ogene League 2023 will continue on the 27th of December with a match between Ukehe and Umuoka. The match will take place at the Okpatu venue, starting at 3 PM, and is expected to attract a large crowd of football enthusiasts and supporters.

The tournament will feature a knockout stage, with the winners of Group A facing the second-placed team from Group B, and vice versa. The winners of each match will then proceed to the final showdown, where the ultimate champion of the Ojebe Ogene League 2023 will be determined.
