Fruitfulness In All Season

Fruitfulness in season and out of season.

Fruitfulness means being completely productive.
In from the Christianity perception, the word Fruitfulness; means living a righteous life and bearing Godly fruits.Bearing fruit alone can be positive or negative ie good or bad fruit depending on the nature of life one lives.

Fruitfulness is the direct result of whatever controls our hearts (Matthew 15:19).

In the book of Psalm 1v3
fruitfulness is  described as the end result for living a righteous life.

Psalm 1v1 clearly states the  benefits of living a fruitful life, it says :
"They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do".
The fruit controlled by the holy spirit bears positive fruit such as:
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22–23).

Genesis 26:22 – “For now the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.”

In contrast, The fruit of a life not surrendered to Jesus or not controlled by the holy spirit includes; “sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage and many more evil acts (Galatians 5:19–20).

The book of Romans 7:5
summarizes it thus, For when we were in the realm of the flesh, we bore fruit for death.”
but A fruitful Christian will produce better results: “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life”-(Proverbs 11:30).

Jesus Christ is the true Vine and wants us cling to him and  to bear a Good fruit, He is the gardener -(John 15:1) and He desires us to be fruitful. Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). As branches cling to the vine, we cling to Christ, drawing our very life from Him.

Steps to being Fruitful as a Christian:

1. Hearing and believe the word of God.
Hear the Word of God (daily), believe it, and then act on it.
This is what makes one a productive christian.James 1 vs 25

2. By controlling your tongue.
James 1 v 26
Do any of you think you are religious? If you do not control your tongue, your religion is worthless and you deceive yourself.

3. Move beyond the  past. Don’t allow past attempts, failures, your previous sinful acts or fears to stop you from moving forward.
God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. We are saved by His grace!

4. Trust God in everything you do and follow the outcome.
Do your part as God leads and allow Him to complete it the rest for you.
Jeremiah 29:11:“‘For I know the plans I have for you’ — this is the LORD’s declaration — ’plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'”

5. Have respect for God and Keep to His  commandments.
We must all answer to God for what ever we do. So our primary focus should be to “fear, respect, and obey God.” People who respect the Lord will obey Him.
Psalm 1v 2 "Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the LORD, and they study it day and night".

6. Pray consistently and take the step of faith needed to accomplish all God is calling you to.
Joshua 3:5:
Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, because the LORD will do wonders among you tomorrow.”

7. Serve God with all your heart.
You must stand your ground to preach the word of God in words and through your actions.

8. Live a life style that will speak the word of God in your environment.

9. You must reject the advice of evil people and must not follow the example of sinners. Psalm 1 v 1.

What are the dangers of not being fruitful?

consequences of not bearing fruit as a Christian, are:
1. Not bearing fruit makes one fail the purpose of his calling.
John 15 v 16
"You did not choose me; I chose you and appointed you to go and bear much fruit, the kind of fruit that endures. And so the Father will give you whatever you ask of him in my name".

2. Not bearing fruit leads to unanswered prayers.
It can make God to be silent to our demands or prayer request.

3. Not bearing fruit brings dishonor to God.
What we do with our lives as Christians induces the unbelievers to either have a negative or positive view about God.  (John 15:8)
Paul once told the Jews that because of them, the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles (Romans 2:24).
In the same way, the unbeliever loses respect for God when he sees that these same Christians who claim to know God are just as sinful as him.

4. Not bearing fruit excludes one from being part of the body of Christ.
If a Christian stops bearing fruit, he shall no more be part of Christ. Jesus uses a proverbial way to tell us what shall happen to any Christian who ceases to bear fruit:

Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire (Matthew 3:10).”

5. Leads to Apostasy
Christians who do not bear fruit, eventually, become apostates. In their state of apostasy, sometimes, they, leave their churches and join other churches they find convenient; sometimes, they abandon their fate  and join other religions they find convenient;
sometimes, they become atheists; and in some occasion, in their state of apostasy, they remain in the church and  lures or demoralizes other Christians into habitual sins and apostasy. Mark 11v4
Such a person will end up Discouraging others who looks up to him or her.

In conclusion.

Before you go out to win a soul, you must win yourself first. Be sure you are in the right spirit mind and that you're always prepared to do the work of God season and out of season.
You must discipline yourself, you must remember the days of your little beginning.
Serving God does not have an end and does not have time of rest, it is consistent, with or without season.
