LAWSAN Awarded Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi The Best Governor Of The Year.

His Excellency Governor Ifeanyi Ugwu has been awarded the best Governor of the year by the Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN).

The award is in recognition of Govenor Ugwuanyi’s track-record and contributions to Nigerian Legal Education in particular and leadership in general.


The group also praised Governor Ugwuanyi for his doggedness and personal inspiration towards youth empowerment.

According to the information reaching us from the media desk of "Gov. Ugwuanyi News Updates" , the said award is awarded every year, to the best Governor who has contributed to the legal education of The Nigerian youth.

Nigerian law students, under the aegis of Law Students’ Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN) will during their national convention scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2020, at Abuja, honour Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, with “The Governor of the Year” award.

In a letter jointly signed by the National President and Assistant Secretary General of LAWSAN, Emmanuel Eze Nwobodo and Nafisa Abdullahi, respectively, the law students disclosed that the award, which they said was unanimously endorsed, is in recognition of Gov. Ugwuanyi’s track-record and contributions to Nigerian Legal Education in particular and leadership in general.

They added that the recognition is “in view of your standing as a deserving contributor to that which concerns youths, coupled with your inspirational personality”.

According to them, “we have unanimously concluded that you (Ugwuanyi) indeed represent all that every student, and of course this Association labours to achieve and we graciously seek to have you in attendance as we have chosen you to be the distinguished awardee as the Governor of the Year.

“Your Excellency, it is our culture to meritoriously honour Distinguished Governors who have contributed to legal education and as well assisted in raising the hands and heads of students at challenging points in their life and this year is not an exception.

“In consideration, we are confronted with a long list of Governors. However, we have strategically followed your track-record and as well conducted a strict due diligence on your contributions to Nigerian Legal Education and leadership generally.

 “Consequent upon which you have emerged our credible choice as a distinguished guest and awardee at the event of the forthcoming National LAWSAN Convention billed to hold on the 11th September, 2020, at the Zeus Paradise Hotel, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja”

The law students who noted that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Ababakar Malami are past awardees, appreciated Gov. Ugwuanyi for the Bursary allowance, his administration recently granted to 246 students of the state at the Nigeria Law School, among other remarkable contributions to the Legal Profession as well as Nigerian Legal Education “through your interests in students’ activities”.

Public and private schools in Lagos State to resume on Monday, 18th of January, 2021.

The Lagos State Government has re- affirmed it's Earlier pronouncement on resumption date for opening of schools for both private and public school. The state Government made this known in a pos on their twitter account yesterday the 15th of January, 2021. The according to the information we got from the source, schools will resume on Monday, the 18th of January, 2021 for the second term of 2020/2021 academic session. The media director has this to say; The Lagos State Government has reaffirmed its earlier pronouncement that all public and private schools in Lagos State below tertiary level should resume on Monday, 18th January, 2021 for the second term 2020/2021 academic session. @jidesanwoolu @lasgeducation @hc_education #LASG https://t.co/IGbPQIVvmV. British government launches a visa processing centre in Enugu State, Southeast, Nigeria .

The UK government opened  a visa summission centre in Enugu State, Nigeria. The centre is aimed at providing a more convenient and efficient visa application process for residents of southeastern Nigeria.  The launch was announced by the Deputy British High Commissioner in Nigeria, Ben Llewellyn-Jones, who stated that the centre would help to strengthen ties between Nigeria and the United Kingdom by making it easier for Nigerians to visit the UK for business, tourism, and other purposes. “The appointment system allows an applicant to select Enugu as their application location when applying for a UK Visa.
