Say no to human desire and allow the spirit of God to guide your affairs.

You can not love God and wealth,you must choose one. either to serve God or pursue your wealth. Matthew 6 v 24.
Brethren the earlier we know this the better for us. 
Those who live as their human nature tells them to, have their minds controlled by what human nature wants. Romans 8v5
What then is human nature or human flesh ?
Human nature is a bundle of characteristics, including ways of thinking, feeling, and acting, which humans are said to have naturally. The term is often regarded as capturing what it is to be human, or the essence of humanity. To be controlled by human nature results in death;
The characteristics of human flesh was classified in the book of Galatians 5 v 19-21 "The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God".

Those who live as the Spirit tells them to, have their minds controlled by what the Spirit wants.  to be controlled by the Spirit results in life and peace.  Romans 8 v 7 people become enemies of God when they are controlled by their human  nature; for they do not obey God's law, and in fact they cannot obey it . Those who obey their human nature cannot please God. Romans 8v8

Put on the armour of God.
Those things you count as  gain or profit in the past,you can reckon as loss for the sake of Christ who died with our human nature on the cross and paid our debt which we could not pay.
St Paul said in Philippians 3 v 8
"What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ".
