SENIOR LAWYER, KEN AHIA, SAN TO HOST COCKTAIL RECEPTION AT 2026 NBA-SPIDEL ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN UMUAHIA


Respected senior lawyer and public interest advocate, Mr. Ken Ahia, SAN has announced that he will be hosting a Cocktail Reception in honour of delegates and participants at the 2026 NBA-SPIDEL Annual Conference.

The 2026 NBA-SPIDEL Annual Conference is themed "In Public Interest: Advancing Justice, Democracy and Development" and is scheduled to hold from 9th to 13th November, 2026.

According to the invitation, the Cocktail hosted by Ken Ahia, SAN is scheduled to hold on Monday, 9th November, 2026 by 6:00 PM at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia, Abia State.

The reception is designed as an evening to Network, Engage and Collaborate amongst colleagues attending the annual conference.

NBA Abuja Branch Vice Chairman Secures Release of Two Inmates After Three Years in Custody

In a significant human rights intervention, the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abuja Branch (Unity Bar), and Chairman of the Branch Human Rights Committee, Ikemefuna Onyeka, Esq., has facilitated the release of two Inmates, Bali Joshua and Paul Sunday, who had been in custody since 2023 in connection with an alleged homicide. Upon assuming office on 31st July 2026, Ikemefuna Onyeka, Esq. was briefed on the prolonged detention of the two individuals, whose matter had remained unresolved for more than three years.
