NBA Unveils Comprehensive Transport Plan to Facilitate Seamless Movement of Conferees at 2026 AGC

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has unveiled a comprehensive transportation arrangement for conferees attending the 2026 Annual General Conference (AGC) in Port Harcourt, as part of efforts to guarantee a seamless, convenient and well-coordinated arrival experience for participants.

The arrangement, developed in collaboration with the Local Organising Committee (LOC), is designed to facilitate the movement of conferees from key arrival points in Rivers State to their respective hotels within Port Harcourt.

According to the NBA, buses will be stationed at the Port Harcourt International Airport from Saturday, 22 August to Monday, 24 August 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily, to convey arriving conferees to their various hotels across the city.

In addition to airport transfers, dedicated transportation services will be available at major bus terminals in Port Harcourt for conferees arriving through designated transport companies.

The designated terminals include GIG Bus Terminal, Libra Motors Park, Agofure Park, Rivers Joy Park, GUO Bus Terminal and Chisco Park, where buses will be positioned to convey conference participants to their respective hotels.

The initiative underscores the NBA's commitment to ensuring that the logistical experience of conferees complements the intellectual, professional and social engagements that will define the 2026 AGC.

With thousands of lawyers and other stakeholders expected to converge on Port Harcourt for the conference, the transportation arrangement is expected to ease the pressure associated with intra-city movement and provide participants with a more organised and stress-free arrival process.

The NBA has therefore urged all conferees to take full advantage of the designated transportation services upon arrival in Port Harcourt.

The 2026 NBA Annual General Conference is scheduled to hold in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, bringing members of the legal profession together for a week of professional discourse, networking, institutional engagement and social interaction.

As the legal profession converges in the Garden City, the NBA says it looks forward to welcoming conferees to what promises to be another memorable edition of the Annual General Conference.
