Dr. Monday Onyekachi Ubani, SAN, PhD, Celebrates Another Year of Grace, Service, and Excellence

Today, the legal profession, the Christian community, and countless admirers across Nigeria join in celebrating an exceptional leader, distinguished legal practitioner, and committed servant of God, Dr. Monday Onyekachi Ubani, SAN, PhD, as he marks another birthday.

The occasion is not merely a celebration of age but a tribute to a life distinguished by unwavering integrity, selfless service, visionary leadership, and remarkable contributions to the legal profession, the Church, and national development.

Throughout an illustrious career spanning decades, Dr. Ubani has remained a respected voice in the pursuit of justice and the rule of law. His outstanding leadership within the Nigerian Bar Association has earned him widespread admiration. He has served meritoriously as Chairman of the NBA Ikeja Branch, Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Chairman of NBA-SPIDEL, and currently serves as Chairman of the NBA Electoral Reform Committee, where he continues to champion reforms aimed at strengthening democratic governance within the legal profession.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Ubani is a trusted adviser and public servant. He currently serves as Legal Adviser to the President of the Senate, while also providing legal counsel to several corporate organizations and charitable institutions. His influence extends across public and private sectors, where his wisdom, experience, and commitment to excellence continue to inspire confidence.

A proud son of Ikwuano in Abia State, Dr. Ubani made history as the first Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) from Ikwuano. His academic accomplishments equally reflect his passion for knowledge and continuous development, culminating in the award of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law.


Outside the courtroom, Dr. Ubani's life is deeply rooted in Christian service. A devoted Deacon in the Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria, he serves as Legal Adviser to the President of the Senate of Assemblies of God Nigeria, exemplifying the harmonious integration of faith and professional excellence. He is also a proud Clasfonite and a former President of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International, Allen Executive Chapter, where he recorded the remarkable feat of pioneering the establishment of two new fellowship chapters in a single day.

As he celebrates another year of God's abundant grace and faithfulness, Dr. Ubani reflects with profound gratitude on a life blessed by divine favour and sustained by God's unfailing mercy. He acknowledges the invaluable support of his family, friends, colleagues, associates, and numerous well-wishers whose encouragement and prayers have contributed to his remarkable journey.

NBA Abuja Branch Vice Chairman Secures Release of Two Inmates After Three Years in Custody

In a significant human rights intervention, the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abuja Branch (Unity Bar), and Chairman of the Branch Human Rights Committee, Ikemefuna Onyeka, Esq., has facilitated the release of two Inmates, Bali Joshua and Paul Sunday, who had been in custody since 2023 in connection with an alleged homicide.
