Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, a governorship aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming Ondo State gubernatorial election, has expressed confidence in the party's victory. He claims to have 100,000 committed delegates at his disposal for the election. Speaking during a party rally in Akure, Ibrahim acknowledged that the party cannot afford to pay for more delegates. However, he believes that the 100,000 committed members he has already paid for will secure his victory in the primaries.
Ibrahim explained that these members have been given booklets, which will be used during the direct primaries. This process will make voting quick and easy as the financial members of APC will be identified and ticked off from the register. Ibrahim emphasized that having 100,000 people in their register for the primary is crucial for their campaign. Currently, their register consists of 487,000 individuals.
Abiodun Faleye, an APC chieftain in Ondo State, expressed confidence that the governorship ticket belongs to Ibrahim, as he has tirelessly worked for it. Faleye highlighted Ibrahim's efforts in touring all 18 local government areas and 203 wards, solidifying his belief that Ibrahim deserves the ticket.
Banji Okunomo, the Director of Strategic Communication for the Aseyori Movement, praised Ibrahim for redefining Ondo State politics. He emphasized that Ibrahim is the only aspirant who has been campaigning for the primary as if he is already the candidate for the general election.
The Ondo State gubernatorial election is set to take place in the near future, and according to him, the APC's choice of candidate will greatly impact the outcome. With Ibrahim's confidence and support from party members, he may have a strong chance of winning the party's ticket.
