ALDRAP and APSS receive support from EU-TAF/GIZ for AfCTA themed moot court competition for African Law students.

The information reads as follows;

In an email dated 29th January 2024, James Hammond communicated the EU-TAF's approval for the above named initiative.

Association of Legislative Drafting and Advocacy Practitioners-ALDRAP is a professional Association of lawyers established in the year 2017 and led by Dr. Tonye Clinton Jaja.

African Private Sector Summit (APSS) is a Pan-American organization promoting the ideals of free trade amongst African countries. Dr. Kingsley Mogahlu is it's Chair.

The European Union Technical Assistance Facility (EU-TAF) is a Team Europe initiative to support the African Continental Free Trade (AfCFTA) and regional economic integration in Africa. The program covers the period of 2022 to 2024 and is currently funded by the European Union (EU), Germany, France, and Sweden and jointly implemented by GIZ, Expertise France, and FIIAPP.

The EU-TAF is set up to deliver adequate technical assistance on a reactive, flexible, and on-demand basis to meet the needs of the AfCFTA Secretariat, African Union Commission and AU specialized agencies, Regional Economic Communities (RECs), AU Member States, and continental and regional private sector organizations.

NBA Anaocha Branch Names Hall After Okey Wali, SAN The (NBA), Anaocha Branch (Family Bar), has resolved to name its main meeting hall after the 26th President of the Association, . NBA Abuja Branch Vice Chairman Secures Release of Two Inmates After Three Years in Custody

In a significant human rights intervention, the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abuja Branch (Unity Bar), and Chairman of the Branch Human Rights Committee, Ikemefuna Onyeka, Esq., has facilitated the release of two Inmates, Bali Joshua and Paul Sunday, who had been in custody since 2023 in connection with an alleged homicide. Upon assuming office on 31st July 2026, Ikemefuna Onyeka, Esq. was briefed on the prolonged detention of the two individuals, whose matter had remained unresolved for more than three years.
