Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) has announced that a clean-up exercise will take place on Saturday, January 27th, 2024, between the hours of 6am and 10am. This initiative aims to promote a cleaner and healthier environment for the residents of Enugu State.
During the clean-up exercise, it is important to note that all vehicles and movement of people will be prohibited. This measure is put in place to ensure the smooth running of the exercise and to guarantee the safety of participants. Any individual found violating this directive will be prosecuted at the Environmental Mobile Court of Law.
ESWAMA encourages all inhabitants of Enugu State to actively participate in this clean-up exercise, as it is an opportunity for everyone to contribute to the well-being of their community. By taking part in this initiative, residents can help to maintain a cleaner environment and reduce the risk of diseases associated with poor waste management.
In addition to the clean-up exercise, ESWAMA also reminds residents to settle their ESWAMA bills promptly. Payments can be made at any Generation Bank branch, ensuring that waste management services are adequately funded and maintained.
For further information or inquiries, individuals can contact Joshua Ozioko, the Head of Public Relations at ESWAMA. He can be reached at 08135534440 or via email at info@eswama.net. The ESWAMA office is located at 7 Ridgeway GRA, Enugu State Secretariat Complex.
Let us all join hands in making Enugu State a cleaner and healthier place to live. Together, we can make a difference in our environment and create a better future for generations to come.
