In a significant move towards the development and transformation of Aba, the Governor of Abia State has signed the Greater Aba Development Authority (GADA) Bill into law. The Governor also acknowledged the efforts of key individuals such as the Attorney General, Barr. Ikechukwu Uwanna, the SSG, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, the Director General of GADA, Mr. Uche Ukeje, and the Senior Special Assistant on legislative matters, Hon. Lukeman Ukara, along with all commissioners and senior aides who played a significant role in making this bill a reality.

The Role of GADA:
The Greater Aba Development Authority will serve as a specialized agency responsible for overseeing the comprehensive development of Aba. Its mandate extends beyond Abia State, encompassing the entire South East Nigeria.
