Abia State Governor Alex Otti Inspects Progress of Enugu-Umuahia-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, recently conducted an inspection tour to assess the status of the ongoing palliative work on the Enugu-Umuahia-Aba-Port Harcourt expressway. In a Facebook post yesterday, he shared his observations and expressed his satisfaction with the progress made so far.

Governor Otti highlighted the importance of the Port Harcourt-Aba section of the road, emphasizing its role as a crucial transportation and economic corridor between Abia State and Rivers State. Accompanied by key members of the State Executive Council, including the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Otumchere Oti, the governor started the tour at the state boundary with Rivers State at the Imo River. The inspection continued through Alaoji and concluded at the entrance of the Ariaria International Market (Enyimba junction).

During the tour, Governor Otti was guided by a team of engineers from CCECC, one of the primary contractors for the road project. He expressed his satisfaction with the speed and quality of the work observed, commending the efforts of the contractors. The governor also acknowledged the timely approval by President Bola Tinubu, who played a vital role in facilitating the return of the contractors to the site. Furthermore, he expressed gratitude to the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, for his unwavering commitment to the completion of this road that has suffered from prolonged neglect.
The Enugu-Umuahia-Aba-Port Harcourt expressway holds significant importance as a vital economic route, serving as a lifeline for trade and commerce. NBA Abuja Branch Vice Chairman Secures Release of Two Inmates After Three Years in Custody
