CRiME AGAINST SPOUSE ATTRACTS LEGAL PUNISHMENT.

DRIVING A WIFE OR SPOUSE OUT OF His/HER MATRIMONIAL HOME OR TO DENY HER ACCESS TO THE SAID HOME IS A VIOLATION AGINST HIS/HER PERSON.

It is no longer business as usual for a husband to throw his wife out of the house or deprive her access to the house without an order of court for separation or divorce.

It is a criminal offence against person for a husband to evict or forcefully deny the wife access to her home. The same is applicable to the husband not to be denied in any away access to his matrimonial home by the wife.

The offence is punishable upon conviction with imprisonment for not more than 2 years or fine of not more than #300,000.00 or both.

Also an attempt of any of this violation attracts a  punishment with imprisonment for not more than 1 year or fine of not more than #200, 000.00 or both.

See sections 9(1), 9(2), 47 and 48 of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act, 2015 and similar laws across states in Nigeria.

Therefore there is need to check your selves so as not to be a victim .

In conclusion, I urge any spouse who in any way or manner had been or is being a victim of this treat or suspect an attempt of this ulgly act  to voice out to the appropriate authorities below to seek redress;

3. social welfare, 

4. human Right group.

5. Justice development and piece comission.(JDPC).

Don't take laws into you hands,seek redress.

    Don't think you can do everything and go free.everybody has his boundary.

    If you drive your wife or husband out of his/her matrimonial home then be ready to face the punishment there on.

Kogi State Governor Ododo Approves Appointment of 1,192 Special Assistants

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has made a groundbreaking decision by approving the appointment of 1,192 additional aides. Driving while drunk  is quite bad and can lead one into crime commission. weekends are known to be a period when people use for outing and so many group meetings equally takes place.  There will be Plainty of free drinks, from friends and relations indeed . but don't allow yourself to drink to stupor and get out of contrtol. Free drinks intoxicates, therefore check your level of consumption to avoid paying as a result of your carelessness or recklessness while driving home drunk. Driving while drunk is against  section 27(1)of BAC laws CAP 148 (Traffic Code Law)   it is worldwide agreement that alcohol involved-drinking is to be curtailed to a lowest minimum.
